- From 1987 to 1998, I attended courses in "Telematik" at the Technical University Graz which I finished in 1998.
- From September 1995 to September 1996 I joined VEXCEL Imaging GmbH's software development department.
I was involved in software development for the company's product, the UltraScan 5000, which is a flatbed A3 5000 DPI scanner. I wrote software for the scanner driver and for testing the accuracy of the unit.
After military service I rejoined VEXCEL Imaging, I was again involved in writing software for the Ultrascan 5000, namely a testing environment that was set up at the production site and a copydot calibration tool.
- From October 1996 to May 1997 I attended military service.
I was assigned to the "Versorgungsregiment 1" (Accomodation Regiment) and after basic training I served as a clerk in the postal service of the regiment.
- In January 2000 I joined INFONOVA and transferred to InfoDesign Blaschitz in March 2000, which was leter renamed in KPMG InfoDesign, came back to the now renamed Bearing Point INFONOVA which I left in July 2003.
When the company installed different buissness units I came to "Intranet Solutions" which was renamed in "Knowledge Management" and "System Integration Service". I worked on several web applications for different customers, mostly intranet applications. The highlight of my professional career are:
- 2000: Implementation of a web based Charge Calculator the Österreichische Post AG, the Austrian postal authority.
The charce calculator can tell the exact cost of a shipment from Austria in any country using any available shipping option. - 2000: Implementation of an intranet web based databank containig information about post offices in Austria.
- 2001: Implementation of an intranet web based solution management system for internal use at Siemens AG in Bern.
- 2001: Implementation of an intranet web based inventory management system containing information about inventory data of postal institutes in Austria.
- 2002: Migration of the complete internet/intranet environment to a new server architecture.
- 2002: Implementation einer webbasierenden Umfrage im Intranet der Österreichischen Post AG, bei der die Dienstkleidergrößen aller 30.000 Postmitarbeiter erfasst wurden.
- 2002: Built a web prototype for the IMM Online, a GIS Applikation, based upon the webserver of Manifold 5.0 System.
- 2003: Took part in the relaunch of the Steirischen Gemeindeserver based on Oracle Portal technology.
For half a year I had the job of a project manager, but resigned in the end. I came to the conclusion that I was not made to be a manager. I went back to the development team again.
- I am currently starting my own buisness, the Sirius Company.
